Generator charging

Hello, fairly new to this product in past year and installed in off grid camp. Have DIY series inverter/charger w/MPPT model MN5048, x6 540w panels with x8 LitIon battery bank.  Have a dual fuel Westinghouse Wgen5300 generator for water pump and to charge when battery bank is low. When generator kicks on the inverter monitor shows the Mains power icons but does not activate charging. Is there a setting I may have mistakenly changed/disabled preventing it from charging? I have attempted setting 06 and tried what other chats discussed in 03.
