I recently decided to punish my Classic 200 by wiring 4 24V panels in series into 24 volt batteries. So I'm getting VOCs somewhere around 160V and VMPs around 135V Running 2KW of panels and have not seen more than about 52 amps out yet.  Sunday, the board was running at 55C and FETs a degree or two cooler. My gut instinct is that it's hard on this thing to run such a wide voltage differential and that things are a little hotter than I'd like to assure a long component lifespan.. Thoughts?

Also have observed odd behavior where I was not seeing anywhere near the rated panel output in Bulk.  Resetting seemed to solve the problem. This was manufactured Q2 of 2010 and I have never updated the firmware.  Would I be wise to to so at this time?

TIA.

2 questions,

1 is the fan running?

2 is the cover off?

55C is not terrible. I would say upgrade the firmware to the newest and see if that helps.
