I'm guessing this isn't normal.  Rosie is inverting.  Connected to MNPowerflo5 and 15 amp shore power. New unit updated to the latest updates.

Incase you can't tell in the photo.  None of the LED lights are on either.

When you say Rosie is inverting, how do you know?  The MNGP2 as depicted shows no external power connected and no Rosie out power being produced.

Midnite has not been updating the forum with the current firmware versions, so be sure and actually run the update app to be sure all your MN hardware is current.

Im sure you've done some testing and I always recommend following the acceptance testing in the manual for commissioning new equipment, checking inputs and outputs with a volt meter.  This will catch any wiring issues first, so you can concentrate on the equipment if failures still exist.

The battery has its own separate update I believe, which you probably know but just mentioning it.

I did run the updater.  For both the Rosie and the MNGP2.  I used a volt meter to verify DC voltage in and AC voltage out.  Also, the AC 120 volt plugs inside the rig are working so Rosie is sending power through.  I will look into the firmware updater for the batteries.  I have 2 batteries. 1 seems to be working fine, but the other is throwing a BMS fault Cell over charge v as soon as I link the batteries together via Cat 5e.  The MNGP2 was only able to register what the fault was after I disconnected the batteries from each other and ran the canbus directly to that battery.

Another thought .... When you do a firmware update on any equipment, always a good practice to reset that piece of equipment back to factory settings, then input your specific system settings back under each menu.  I'm guilty of not doing this after each update and it bit me today.  I updated the MNGP2 firmware on my 2 separate systems.  One did fine, the other burped.  The Hawkes Bay controller showed no PV production, so I reset its power/ battery breaker.  When I did this, the PV breaker popped as I turned the battery breaker on.  The PV breaker would not reset. I had just updated the MNGP2, not the HB, but they all work together!  So ..I reset ALL the equipment to factory settings, loaded my data back in, and all was well with the universe!

Do you have a terminator on one of the mngp2 canbus ports? And then from mngp2 to rosie canbus in, then from Rosie canbus out to 1st battery can? Then from 1st battery link out to battery two link in? The 1st battery will terminate that end of the canbus chain.

Definitely need to reset to factory defaults and reconfigure after firmware updates.

I had it set up exactly as you stated.  I will reset to factory defaults.  Hopefully that solves it.

So I unplugged the Canbus to the batteries, put the blue terminator plug in the port, reset the system to defaults, reprogrammed the name and settings, turned the battery off, reset the BMS in the battery, turned the battery back on, then plugged the canbus back in. No changes.  I did unplug the shore power.  I have DC 54volts coming in and 120AC going out to the breaker panel but the MNPG2 still shows no activity, just battery voltage and SOC.  I am currently only connected to 1 battery to eliminate another complication.

This is the read out with the AirCon running off the batteries.

There are 2 small LED's on the bottom of the Rosie, yellow & green.  Are these lit up, and if so, what do they show?

If the yellow & green LEDs on the bottom of your Rosie are not illuminated in some fashion, not sure how your Rosie is producing power.  The picture below is how to interpret their meaning.

There's a jumper that enables silent mode on the rosie, there's a chance it may be enabled by accident. Thats how my rosie mobile shipped to me. I called Midnite and Ryan walked me thru switching the jumper over, soon as I did that and cycled power it was good to go.

I never made a note of where it was, if nobody can provide it today I would give midnite a call tomorrow.

@FNG ?

FNG

Did it work as intended before the update?

What I would try is unplugging the battery and install a terminator, Re boot the Rosie system

Does it work now?
If no look at the bottom of Rosie (NOT MNGP2) and see if either of the LEDs are on?

If all that strikes out you will likely need to call in and speak with Jim or Myself
