I need information about, Remote trip breakers to shutdown battery system. I see Rosie 300amps breaker, I think [...] it's not remotely trip. And the MNLBC-250 don't say anything like Remotely trip breaker. I need, Remotely shutdown battery system. Or how to setup Rosie Remotely. Any inputs.. thanks

You could use an MNEDC250RT. Its 250A nominal rating but I think it has better overload performance than the recommended 300A triple pole unit used in the Rosie breaker box. Actual trip rating on the mnedc250 is 313A and with delay curve of 16 has huge surge capability. Ironically the 250RT isn't ul listed like the non RT units.

My goal is to use mnedc125rts for ocp for each battery string.

Thanks, sounds good the MN125rts, for each string. Now, What tripping device should I use for circuit breakers? Thanks.

I did my search, what I need is (3) MN125rts and (3) MNBDM-48v. But the MNBDM, still working? Before starting buying I need confirmation this setting will be available to work.
Thank you for the suggestion and inputs.

From what I can tell, one or more birdhouses initiate the signal over cat 5 to one or more mnbdms, to which the shunt trip breakers are connected. What's not clear to me is if/how many you can parallel multiple shunt trip breakers to a single mnbdm board. I would call or email Midnite to see.

Yes I have the MNBirdhouse connected to MNPV8HV-DLTL. But Rosie still alive. The picture from MidNite showing it is possible. I will wait For more inf. Thank you the input.

The BIRD HOUSE system was discontinued and last I checked all spare parts are used up.  No plans on more...
Very little support available on any existing NOS you find. Only one person (me) left with any trouble-shooting knowledge...
CAUTION - The Remote Trip breakers can not be used with a switch of any kind, they use an electronic device to apply a 1/10th second pulse, much longer Will burn out the trip coil....

Thanks for the info James. Is it possible to connect multiple midnite shunt trip breakers to the output of the MNBDM-48v? Say four of them? Any limits?

Does it work on the mnedc125rts? I guess get those working first before you add the mnedc250rt for the rosie?

Thanks for the information. I will buy it and try it. The test will be in December.. I have both items long time ago and work perfect. Thank Bruces & Wizbandit for the inputs.

If ail you are trying to do is shut down a Rosie Inverter it's really simple.  Rosie has a remote shutdown connection you just need to wire to the Bird House's aux relay.  A tripped Birdhouse will engage the relay and shut down Rosie removing AC power from the house.

Omg. I saw it before the two "pin", it never crossed my mind. I will use cat 5. 55 feet away between, and you say the " Bird House's aux relay" Okay. I'll try it in December when I see Rosie again. Thank you.
