Aux 1 switch rating

The manual says the Aux 1 switch contact is limited to 0.5 amp. Can it switch 0.5 amp at 60 volts? I'd like to use it to switch a vent van.

It's a 48-volt dc vent fan. Approx 0.25 amp.

I should just try one and report back.  I'll see what I can find.
Wonder if I can put 2 24V fans in series and have them share voltage drops ?

The 48-volt Zephyr vent fan is two 24-volt fans in series.

ok typo vent fan Mike here think in my option is to use a solid state relay and correct me if Im wrong two jumpers on classic is to the first 1&2 pins jumperd for both jumpers for the output of around 12 volts dc left to right of the 3 pin jumpers have to consult Halfcrazy on this one but have tested on solid state relays and it work perfectly cheers Mike P.S. can get SSR on ebay for a good price for ac and dc types

What are the manufacturer's specs for the relay contacts? Seems like that should be included in the Classic specifications.

The relay is like this one, if not the exact same one.  We may also be using a Tyco version
of the same thing.

There is a minimum of 1/2 Amp PTC (holding current) PTC in series with the contacts.

I wanted to protect the contacts as best I could without limiting too much.

It's hard to find a small relay that fits with higher current ratings but if anyone knows of a better relay that fits the same footprint, I'm all ears.

Thanks boB. It looks like a 48-volt Zephyr vent fan shouldn't be a problem.
