Higher Vbatt reading at Classic terminals than in my E-Panel

Hello All:

A strange thing started happening last week with my Classic 200.

I am actually using 2 classics on this system (one for PV and one for wind).  The PV classic's display had begun showing me a higher battery voltage than the other classic as well as my Magnum remote.  Being curious, I decided to measure the battery voltage at the Classic's battery connection and also at the DC terminals within my E-Panel.  The classic display was reading very close to what was present at it's terminals (13.5-13.6), whereas the other Classic and Magnum remote's voltage reading were consistent with what was measured inside the E-Panel (12.0-12.1V).

My question is, why (or how) is the battery voltage measured at one of my classics higher than that of any other point where I can measure in the system?

Thank You

I would suggest you closely check the cabling between the classic and epanel. Especially for loose or burned connections and if there is a breaker make sure it is closing properly and not damaged.

Does the classic measure high only when it is producing power ?

If so, it sounds like voltage drop from a loose connection.

Measure between battery terminal for minus and/or positive and place
the other meter probe on the classic's other terminal to see which wire
is the culprit.
