Where to connect MNBCM

Should the MNBCM be connected to the bus bars in the junction box so the current for the MNBCM passes through the shunt for the WhizBang Jr to record? Or should it be connected directly to the battery terminals to avoid any voltage drop in the system so it more closely shows the condition of the battery?

Also with a system this size, 1300w of panel and 430ah of battery, is it worth worrying about the 6 milliamps saved with the switch modification to the MNBCM

Thanks,

John

John;

The MNBCM should use relatively tiny current so it will not affect the WBjr data enough to worry about.

I would suggest as close to directly to the battery as possible. a 1 amp fuse is smart in case the sense line gets shorted or something.

It is voltage based and does not draw much power.
