just did FW update to V 2056...  much more harvesting going on now,    got 5.2 kWh yesterday!!!  Max watts ~ 1268w,  off a 1680W STC array...

So when the temps hit about 45 * C we started to notice some burning of dust etc coming from the power room,  it continued today as internal tempd are floating around 50*C..

Question:  how long before the smell will stop?

Oh !  You mean that new MPPT CC smell ?

I'm not sure ?  We do burn them in for several hours though.
Sometimes over 12 hours on weekends.

Let it go and maybe you can get an idea of how long it took to lose the smell.

Is it possibly varnish on the inductors you are smelling ?

reminds me of the smell we got off the old oil fired furnace after it had sat all summer with just the fan on for cool air from the  basement rather than get air conditioning  for 2 weeks a year... ;)

It is a bit acrid though so we opened the windows and doors and the wind did the rest...

and a bit today on day 3..
