Larry,
After reading this again it sounds like you are using two separate network adapters in the laptop. One hardwired to the Ethernet port to the router that the LA may be using then the WiFi adapter for the Android device.  Do I have that correct?  Or is the LA using the WiFi connections also?

When finished using Graham's app turn off the computer's WiFi and see if the LA connects.

Or disconnect the hardwired for computer to router and let them both use WiFi to connect to the Classic.

I have a tiered network setup . Internet provided via Linksys DDWRT set up as client and getting internet via wifi. Then this is plugged via cat5  into another linksys DDWRT setup as access point. The Classic and other devices ( including laptop)  are plugged into the ports of this access point/router. The Android phone is going into the access point via wifi.

I did just notice that my laptop had the wifi on and it was also connected to the access point via wifi as well as being plugged in via cat5 . Usually I have the wifi on the laptop turned off - so maybe that was messing it up some. Quick experiment after I turned laptop wifi off had same thing happening though.

But enough with all this for this weekend- next week I will try the thing you suggested and some other stuff like using the official midnite android app and see how it all works out .

Ive had excellent network performance with the new firmware, not one single issue of any kind.

Just to reiterate you may have only ONE modbus ethernet connection. The first one will hog the connection. Unless you literally power down the android device or are 100% sure that you have killed the service, it may remain open as a background task.

So this should give your blackbox some greater reliability  :)
Perhaps getting it's web server side sorted to provide data for real time displays on multiple tcp connections. (from incoming web connections)
Although the progress at MN with firmware ethernet would have been so much more useful if those not enabling web access (for MyMN) could make use of that second TCP connection. I could never understand why this could not be done.

I'm Classic Lite 150, after an upgrade in 2079, I blink all LEDs, the device works, the connection works. After rebooting OK and after a while starts flashing again. Where can I download an older version of the firmware? Thank you.
