After the absorbtion phase is complete I went to the EQGO! selection on the menu and pressed enter.  It says "not equalizing".  Am I not doing something correct to start an EQ charge?

To EQ with the Classic You need to go to the Main Menu --->Charge--->EQ or EQGO depending on firmware. Now with Not Equalizing highlighted scroll all the way up to EQ request and hit Enter.

Should there be a note on that menu saying to use the UP arrow maybe ??

Something to make it a bit more user friendly ?

OK, so I just went out and tried it.  It was in float and the sun is going down so very little power available (about 200 watts).  I used the up arrow and saw "enable EQ".  I pressed enter.  Then since there wasn't enough sun left to do an EQ I went back to "not equalizing" and pressed enter.  When I went back to the status screen it said "EQ MPPT".  I went back and tried again to disable the EQ but the screen still said "EQ MPPT".  Can an EQ be stopped after it is started?

Bob, yes something might need to be done different.  I would have not guessed that I was supposed to push the up arrow.  I would suggest putting "Disable EQ"  and "Enable EQ" both on the screen and then use the side arrow keys to highlight the one you want and then press enter.  Also it appeared that the EQ may have started immediately when I pushed the up arrow key without even pressing enter, but I don't know that for sure.  I would like to think that no change in status or operation is ever initiated unless "enter" is pressed.  That allows people like me who are not familiar with all of the functions to browse around with inadvertently changing something or initiating something that we didn't intend to do.

This is likely older code (By the EQGO instead of EQ) there was a bug that would not allow the EQ to stop by selecting it in the menu. You can power the Classic down and back on or it should reset tonight.

We should have new code out in a day or two you may want to upload new Firmware when we release it. The new code even has Auto EQ if that is of interest.

I'd like to be able to update my firmware but unfortunately I'm on a MAC without any of the windows emulators.  The Auto EQ feature would be real nice.
