Serial Data - averaged?

I've got my Kid in PC mode and capturing the data that comes out every minute.  Is this data a 1-minute average or is it just an instant status grabbed every minute?

my guess is it is the reading that it grabs every minute.

I'm pretty sure it's instant reading, just as on the device LCD. No developers confirmation though.

The data won't be a 1-minute average but may very well be the averaged value appearing on the front LCD.

That's somewhere around a 1 second or more average I think.
