How is efficiency factored in?

Just a bit puzzled...If my battery bank is 840AH at 24V and I set the efficiency factor at 90%, where is the 10% calculated and compensated for?  On full charge should the shunt display be reading out 924AH? Or does the CC/Wjbr
combo do that invisibly somewhere during the charging process?

If you set the Whizbang battery efficiency for 90% , when the battery charges back up it is going to take 10% more of the amps that it counted taken out before it will go to 100% SOC.
So 0% efficiency SOC and 100 amps taken out overnight- the Whizbang will go to 100% when 100 amps are charged. With 90%  eff it the SOC won't change to 100% until 110 amps are charged back. The temperature setting can also effect the capacity some ( less capacity on a cold lead acid battery) .
The Whizbang efficiency doesn't change the way the batteries charge - that is dependent on the Absorb voltage, absorb time, and or ending amps. So the efficiency can to be tweaked to get the desired 100% SOC you want to see.
The SOC is just an estimate.  You can set the capacity and efficiency settings so there is actually a bit of reserve in the battery if you want.

Thank you Larry,

I was hoping it was going to be something like that. I will adjust the efficiency setting against end amps (currently 2% of 840AH rate) and see if I can tune things a little better.
