Anyone with a Big Rosie looked at this new feature in solar assistant v2026-08-25 Stable?

It adds this:  Add battery setting support to Midnite Solar inverters.

Considering updating SA. Not really sure what that gives me.  I have found updating things does not always make things better, this has been out going on two months now.  And I don't see any midnite fixes listed for the 10-12 beta..

Solar Assistant just finished the controls side, Look for the beta version of the Solar Asistant from about a week ago or newer.

What are the issues with 10-12 beta and can you be more specific on the version with the full number and that device it is

I am asking if there are any issues prior to updating..  I don't know if there are any.  Coming from the network side of the house, we often waited till the next versions came out to look at what that version fixed from the prior version as a guide to determine if we can update our switches and routers.  (any everything else)

I assume you are referring to Rosie not Solar Assistant? in either case no issues as of now but also Rosie code hasn't changed much so if you are not looking for a fix we advertised or a feature, we advertised I would not update.

Basically, my stance is - If the update doesn't fix a bug you have OR add a feature you need don't update

The only reason I am/was looking at it are the new Rosie features.

Not sure if these are BUGS or just not programmed as yet.  When you select EDIT, boxes appear at most all line items.  Can these be changed???  Before hitting Edit, there are just 4 items that have BLUE arrows, does this mean only these can be changed??  There is no legend/instructions for this at the moment.  IF, and it's a big IF, we can change any perameter that has a box around it, There are a few bugs in the Solar Assistant Beta, at least for me :).  Under BATTERY - Edit, trying to change any of these 4 registers results in a "Rejected (invalid register) ERROR:
To Grid Battery Voltage
To Grid Battery Capacity
Back to Battery Voltage
Back to Battery Capacity

Under Input/Output:
Grid Sell

My Rosie firmware is 2025-11-13, Solar Assistant Version 2026-10-27.  Was the same in previous SA version.  I haven't tried all the possible edits that SA now appears to offer, but these are the ones I'd certainly like to change as the defaults that SA has in place are not good numbers for Lithium batteries!

There are "interdependent" registers involved, that means some can't be higher or lower than the other.  I made a web interface to test with, here is a clip of it so obey the comments and you can make the changes.

I was able to get the examples you showed to change, except the Grid Sell would not change.  Mine is currently 'enabled' and it would not disable. This setting should not have any dependency, either on or off. The other 4 items under the Battery tab would not change. I tried changing one, then the other, recognizing you couldn't change a cutout voltage higher than the connect voltage.  No luck. Have you been able to actually change the 4 battery settings I listed?

You may need to update the MNGP2 with the new Beta code
