Had to reboot my classic 307A485A today to get it to log into My Midnite again. It was stuck at 4/30/13 00:01:18 all day until I rebooted. It's now logging data again. Running 1370 FW on Classic.

Interesting.   Have you seen this Classic reset for no known reason during the day ?

Bob..  I've never seen it reset during the day. It is set to A-Restart at 23:59.

The reason I did a restart was based on Ryan's comment:

"If the Classic is not calling in I find it is usally 1 of 2 things (Assuming that Web Access is Enabled and the Classic has newer code)

1-The Classic needs to be rebooted. Try this and wait say 30 minutes"

Sure enought after rebooting it showed up within a few minutes.

Hi, I'm new to a midnite solar classic 150 (just a couple of weeks, and probably even less than that having it actually connected to my solar panels), and also obviously new to this forum.  Being new to everything else, I thought I'd go ahead and enable web communications (having just days ago figured out a wireless bridge and everything to connect the classic (in the garage) to my main internet connection (in the basement on the other end of the house, of course), which turned out to be no small trick, but I got there.  For the most part, it seems to have been working well for the past several days, and it is pretty cool to be able to monitor my classic from about anywhere (including my cell (/smart) phone, which I can and have done).  I also like the monitoring software, also on my main computer far away from the classic (I might be getting less exercise by not obsessively treking to the garage to check on the classic in person, however... ;).

All of that said, I did see one issue yesterday, which I don't understand.  For some unknown reason, mid-day, the kw hours accumulator re-set (it hasn't done that before - not that it's been up and running long, like I mentioned) and the mymidnite site reports a "watchdog reset", that doesn't seem to be going away.  I don't know what's up with that, or what it may mean.  Any thoughts?  If it helps, my classic is D3D1 FCE7.

My crazy solar project has certainly been an adventure so far, and I'm happy to now be a part of the midnite solar classic group, as I continue to pursue it, wherever it may take me... (and I don't really know, and never have).

Lee.

Yeah, if the Classic reset because of a watch dog reset, however long ago, and has not reset since then,
that message may just stay there until the Classic gets reset by some other means, like, turning the
power off and back on again.  (battery breaker)

If the Auto-Restart (A-Rst) is enabled in TWEAKS, the Classic will do a watch dog reset every night
at 23:59  which will of course also show up as a watch dog reset.

I suppose we should stop that message after so much time, but that may be kind of tough for
My Midnite to figure out on its own.  Might be easier to just change the Classic code to make
it reset that particular piece of information say, the next 23:59  (midnight) if the Classic is not
set to Auto-Restart.  This would be a good way for the system to know when it actually did get
restarted by a watch dog catching a glitch or something like that which is what the watch dog
is really meant for.

I'm not seeing, and haven't seen, the watchdog reset message anywhere but on mymidnite.com.  Am I missing something?  Would re-starting the classic clear it, on mymidnite.com?  Is there another way I can clear it?  Would I lose my offline history if I cleared it by disconnecting and restarting the classic?  I have no idea why it happened in the first place.  It hasn't seemed to make any difference, except the daily kwh record for that day is off and the message that is on mymidnite.com.  I was not home when the reset apparently happened.  It hasn't happened since (the next couple of days).  It looks like I ask too many questions, but hey, in some ways, I'm amazed I've figured out as much as I have....
