Greetings all,

After lurking for a year or 2, I've finally built up the courage to post, and to try to update my Classic 200 (currently running on the Nov 2011 patch). I know this is a long time between updates, but I've been firmly set in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" camp, and everything has been working fine. But, I would like to start seeing the Local App information etc., hence the pending update.  I am trying to prepare for the Vulcan Mind Meld (VMM) possibility. Could someone please list the parameters to I need to record in the event of a reset?

Hello W !

I think that if it is working well, I would wait just a teeny bit longer as we are finalizing another
update that will help to fix a bug in how the data logging reads back to the local app.

This might be another week or so.

Having said this, what I would do is to download the latest firmware from the midnitesolar.com
web site (under firmware), run that program to install things and then plug in the USB cable
from Classic to the PC and set up the drivers and USB COM port to 8.  After this bit of
necessary setup stuff on the PC, you should not have to install the drivers again.

What OS are you running on your computer ??

Hi,

To answer the question, I will say you have to note all the settings that you personnalised !

I think to :

- Battery Voltages (Absorb, Float, EQ)
- Charge Time (Absorb Min/Max EQ...)
- Temps Compensated Voltage
- Ends Amps
- Rebulk Voltage
- Limits (Output / Input Amps)
- Offsets for VBatt/VPV
- Powersave settings
- All tweaks relatives to Faults/Insomnia/NiteLog/Shade...
- All Networks Settings (IP, Gateway, WebAccess...)

Do not hesitate to complete my list.

NB: If you can, take pictures of the menus settings with a smartphone or a camera.

Hi Bob and Yann,

Thanks for the quick replies. I can certainly wait another week or 2, Bob, no worries! I am a Mac guy after years with Unix, but have an old Dell machine that is running on Windows 7 I believe. If I'm not mistaken that is what my contractor and I used for the Nov 2011 update.

Thanks Yann, I wish I could remember everything I did in 2011, but sadly I can't!
Your list will help jog my memory and is appreciated.

Hi Bob,

Any news on that update?

Bill

Oh, Sorry Bill !

I think the latest beta code is what you want.

It's looking pretty good so far.  Might as well give it a try.

Thanks,
boB
