Rumour is that Apollo has all but shut down?  Any updates from people in the know?

I love my Midnite controllers, but the Apollo controllers are extremely intuitive and have some very nice features.  Sad how a fairly refined controller can go the way of the dodo...

So, first time something goes wrong with an Apollo controller are they paperweights, or is there someone out there capable of repairing them?

Apollo has been all but shut down for a long time as far as I know.

My opinion on the controller is that they didn't have anybody that was able
to fix the software or hardware problems.  The few software problems that
I was aware of should have been very simple to fix.

Yes, I'm sure the hardware could be fixed on the broken units, but why ?
The unit would most likely break again unless they fixed the reason it
croaked in the first place.

I have seen them also used as a door stop.  That circuitry was designed to last.

I'm sorry for John Pfiefer, the CEO and founder of Apollo.  He's a nice guy and have
met him many times.

Copy.  Was he not involved with Bogart also?

Somewhat.  Apollo included a licensed version of the Trimetric along with their controller
as I understand.  John showed me his brand new controller right when it came out
but it didn't have that feature at the time.

I am not familiar exactly how that was implemented.  I had hoped that it would tell
the controller at least when to go to Float, but I'm not sure it if did this or not.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the Bogart display on the Apollo controller interacts with the controller functions.  I believe it is simply a battery monitor.
So Midnite will be the first to pull it off!   ;D

I don't think it is really very "Reliable" in general though.

Can you even still get the stuff ?

They are still hanging in there as far as I know.

John Pfeifer, the president, is a real nice guy and I hope his company can
pull through.  I know they have been struggling for various reasons.
