Two Classics, local network & log

Hi All,

So we have our 2-250's working with our 15'-axial turbine (as described in links below).  They seem to be playing nicely so far.  A couple related questions:

When the controllers are networked (master/slave, say A & B) like this, I've noticed that the IP address for the Slave (B) is blanked out  - all zeros IIRC.  On the local app, I can see the first power curve, but not the second.  Am I looking at power here for just A, or does it aggregate the total?

If I want to tweak the curve on B, do I only do it on the MSGD or is there a way to view or toggle to the B's settings?

Similarly, when I view the Log data, or the mymidnite log history am I looking at only A, or A+B?

BTW - I really like the local app instrument cluster.  Not only is aesthetically sexy IMO, but I much prefer analog dials to a scrolling bunch of digits on a lot of meters.  Good choice.  Is this suggestive of a generic vintage plane, or is it a known (by all aviators in the room) make/model?

Do I need a separate Cat5 cable to my router to pick up the second Classic?  I'm still not sure how to get this and log data on the second unit when they are networked.  ~ks

If I understand your question..

Yes, each Classic needs to be connected to the switch / hub / router with its own CAT5.

Not sure what you mean by "how to get this and log data on the second unit when they are networked"  so cannot help there.

1) How to get access to the instantaneous data, and settings features on the local app for the "slave" unit.  I think you may have answered this one.  I had thought when they were connected master/slave that they more or less functioned as one unit (e.g the output would be total output).  I can add the second Cat5 easy enough.

2) Similarly, I wasn't sure how to get log data from the slave unit on the mymidnite website.  It seemed that the IP, and related info was all gray out.  Again, maybe this hinges on having the a separate communications path.

Once you have it networked and enabled for mymidnite access you simply go to mymidnite and under "Management" click "add Device" and configure it with the deviceID of your Classic and it will start pumping data to mymidnite. The add device is an icon at the top of that tab next to the "+".
