Classic 250 FET says 159.5 Degrees

I have a classic 250 that is in high temp alarm and will not charge.

The FET temperature was 100 degrees, so I updated the firmware hoping to fix the issue, but after updating it now says 159.5 degrees.

This is with the classic sitting inside on my desk next to the computer.

The PCB temp is at 34.9
Remote temp is at 32.8

Anything I can try?
Where is the FET temp sensor located on the board? maybe it is shorted?

Ouch !   that's HOT !

Actually, there is a problem with the Classic's FET temperature sensor OBVIOUSLY !

HOWEVER !  There is a way to get it going again without having to send it back, at least right away
anyway.  I would call MidNite, if you haven't already done so to get the information to temporarily
use the PCB temperature (+10 degrees) as the FET temperature stand-in.

If the tech says this isn't possible, please have them ask Ryan or me about this.  That is, if it
is a regular Classic rather than a Lite because it has the MNGP remote control.

You may already have taken care of this of course...

Thanks for the kind words, guys.  I went to work today and did OK.  My work is something I love too, so it is
a very good way to help cope.  Most people there knew Penny so they are also very supportive.

Being 1 1/2 years since my OH bypass surgery, I have experienced/watched  the stress on a spouse in the post crisis period.  It is excruciating!..   

Makes one enjoy each day to the fullest..moment by moment..

Thank you so much, Eric !    Yeah...   Be aware of any possible problems you may have...   Don't be afraid of going to the doctor.
Penny went to the doctor plenty actually.  I know another guy that had a very similar problem to Penny's  (Ventricular Fibrillation)
and he said there was a drug that could help.  Penny was actually talking to her cardiologist about having a pacemaker/defib installed.
Not soon enough I guess.  Her father had one put in recently and she was helping him a lot by taking him to the Dr.

In Penny's case, it was evidently scarring on the ventricle or whatever that caused the wrong path for the electrical synch signal
that started the fibrillation.

Anyway....  Early detection is KEY  (usually).
