Auto EQ does it really work?

Does auto EQ work actually with FW1933? I remember a post where boB was saying that there was some problems with that.
If that still doesn't work, when will that work? After four years, it seems to me that this should work.
It would be nice if we can rely on that auto function for new cutomers until they can take care of their systems by themselves.
Thanks,
Erik

As far as I know it has never been fixed along with the network disconnects.

Salut John,
That's what I was thinking.
I always set it in new Classics hoping that this would help new owners to keep their batteries in top shape even though I was not very sure that it was really working.
Isn't Midnite a bit sleepy??? Where are the times with new beta firmware released every two days...

I am of the opinion that they have too much on their plates with new products and the Army contract that the Classic get to take the back seat. Even Ryan has a new job and the new tech support people are missing in action from the forum.

No, we're still here.  This feature still needs to be fixed.  We are a bit overwhelmed at the moment
but this issue still definitely needs attention.

I hadn't seen the message regarding "enthusiasts" until I saw it herre,  but I know that Ryan is hosting it again so
it can be backed up better.  There are also others, behind the scenes here that help tremendously with this
forum and it would not be nearly as good with all of you here !  Tom, DGD, Resthome, Zoneblue Westbranch, Erik
and numerous others I'm not remembering right away but deserve big kudos !

AFAIK, the Ethernet disconnects have actually been fixed but won't be available until the newest My Midnite is
up and running.  Auto EQ will take some more time still I'm afraid. Really sorry about that.

We're not giving up though !

Guys sorry for the scare.

So the "Enthusiast" banner is because it is just that. I personally host this forum and none of the MidNite tech support will use the forum. So I worried that customers may think they can come here and ask a tech support question instead of calling in if that makes sense?

On the Classic, Yes there are a couple issues still. boB is knee deep in the WBjr right now as a few of us have found a bug that under some conditions will halt the positive counting of the remaining AH. That should be an easy fix and then hopefully we can look at the EQ issue.

On the network yes I would venture to say the new network code is as good as anything out there but to use it you have to use the Beta My MidNite 3.

Sorry for the hassles, and I will try to spend more time here.

boB, I'm just talking for me here, but in Canada a Classic is now sold somewhere around $1000 with our dollar drop. How do you want me to explain to a customer that the Classic is actually the best controller on the market but wait, there are some important functions that you will find on a cheap $180 pwm controller that are still missing on this Cadillac because Midnite Solar is too busy on new products and doesn't have time enough to get it right after four years.
How long will that take to get all the features that Midnite promised from the begining? Four more years? seriously...
Just saying that these features need to be fixed as you said since two years like a mantra is not enough, fix it now please!
Running after ten rabbits at the same time and catching none is not always the best thing to do...
Finishing and improving your products should be at least as important as releasing new ones to keep us enthusiast. There were a lot of great improvements that were submitted on this forum but only a few have been taken in account
Just IMO.

I could not agree more, We owe it to the customers to fix these couple of bugs and get the new My MidNite done and released.

Ryan, we might grizzle a bit from time to time (just to keep everyone honest), but i think i speak for us all when i say that its just so great to have you, bob and the occasional other midnite engineer contributing to the forum, keeping us up to speed and hearing our feedback. Thanks for that, super appreciated. Its one of key things that defines midnite, and sets it apart from all the rest.

No MM V3.0 it uses the new network code. We should be releasing a time line on that roll out.

Ryan and boB,
None of my customers are using LA or MyMidnite with their off-grid systems but all of them would like to use or believe they are using a functional auto EQ. I know that it's a bit disappointing but it's true. 40/50 years old customers are not so techy but only this age group can afford costly systems.

Mario is staring at Classic code and he has already found a bug that should cause the "Days to the next EQ" to reset to the full amount every time the Classic goes to float. We have also started recruiting a new engineer to do nothing but maintain existing product. So with boB and Mario and a soon to be new Engineer I am VERY hopeful we can find and fix these couple bugs.
