I have (2) 24v wind turbines to add to my current system.

It appears that I can just wire them directly, but is there a better (more efficient?) way to do this?
(Charge controller?)

Wind generators generally need 2 extra things that solar power does not:

* Redundant sets of brakes

* Charge controller with a DUMP LOAD

Brakes are to shut it down when it's sick, or possibly when commanded by the charge controller

Dump Load is required to keep the turbine loaded so it does not freewheel at 18K rpm when batteries are full.

They come with diversion loads.
(these are/were a midnite solar product).

I'm going to be using hydronic heating, so dumping excess power to a hot water heater may be in the future as well, maybe.

The diversion loads are pulse width modulated, and, well, it's a midnite product, so likely "best it gets" ... but tech changes every day, so I figured I should ask :)
