I'm just not seeing the auto EQ count down to perform an EQ. I DL'd the latest firmware and MGP but still no count. Where ever it is set, 20 days, 30 days, 40 days etc. it only shows one day less ie. 19, 29 39...day after day, not counting up or down.

I finally just set it to manual.

Is it really not working or am I missing something??

Hi Paul...

Since all other Classics (that I know of anyway) seem to count down the days for
Auto-EQ in the VIEW interval menu, it occurs to me that one thing in hardware
could be causing this to happen.   This is unless there is some very strange software
bug we have yet to figure out...

If the Classic's (not the MNGP) internal time/date timer is not running, it may never
become midnight (23:59 actually) and not change the Auto EQ days.

If the internal real time clock is not becoming 23:59 exactly, then other functions like Lifetime (total)
kW-Hours won't accumulate, the main status kW-Hours won't reset to zero the the Classic will not
automatically go from Float to Bulk/Absorb every day either.

The Classic's internal clock-timer-date is synchronized every minute or two from the MNGP.
In newer Classic-Lite software, which is not out there yet, it has another method of doing
that function, but your Classic should be counting through midnight once a day and changing
those day counts.

There is a way to check the time in the Classic from the MNGP Remote...

Go to the MISC menu and then to the TIME menu.  That will show you the
MNGP time and date.

From that menu, HOLD down the LEFT-ARROW key and TAP the Soft-Right key.
You should now be viewing the time-date in the Classic itself.

Check to make sure that the SECONDS timer is counting UP.  If the time is
only changing once every minute or two, then I believe the crystal or
oscillator on the Classic itself may have a problem.

Please report back that information and we can go from there.

Thank you !

This would also play into the "Waking up in Float" issue he was having the Classic just never knows it is Tomorrow....

Yes.  That would explain that issue, too.
The "tomorrow never comes" feature.

Thanks guys!!

I got the "reset from float to bulk every morning" straightened out by setting the time in the wizard, and in in MISC-TIME. At the same time I was fooling around with END AMPS and had absorb time set to 1 minute. I got rid of EA and set my absorb to 3 hours and it resets fine in the morning. I also get a total tabulation of power produced daily and it also resets every morning.

I'm gonna be back on the road for a week and will have to check out your suggestions a week from Wednesday.

THANKS for the help!!

Yes, maybe some of that playing around with those values will help.   We will be waiting to hear whatever you have to
tell us so we can make sure things work normally for others as well.

Thanks for the info, too !
