If any of you thought I might need a therapist, this may clinch it for you.

There are days when my FLA banks never finish or even get to ABSORB.  If I am concerned about the bank not being properly charged to 100% at least every 3 days.  I presently engage my second AIMS inverter to directly charge the banks.  The AIMS 6000W inverter has at best dubious charging parameters.  The AIMS uses 80watts just to run. I would more trust the CLASSIC or ROVER60 charging parameters.


I am curious to know whether to outline below would work.

I have not yet fully explored implementation.

I don't know about your Rover charge controller how it would handle that , or if that power supply would be okay running full output since it is an inexpensive supply and often those things seem to be over rated. Diodes Gone Wild on youtube did a  full evaluation series of videos of a switching power supply like that.

But you have an inverter that will charge batteries ? I would just use that . Why do  you think it won't charge your batteries okay ? If you don't trust it use it in the morning to get the batteries up and then let your other controller do the finishing charge.

Question remains:

Can a power supply be used as a quasi solar panel thus utilizing the charge controllers charge parameters?

I am pretty sure using a power supply for Classic has been discussed in the past on forums. The Classic has some other input modes besides just Solar - it has inputs for Hydro , Wind, and I think some others .I can't look right now but it is probably in the manual.
Regarding your other charge controller - who knows ? Give a try and if the smoke doesn't come out you know it works !
