Yeah I am not sure what causes it, Some of boBs updates cause my antivirus to scream loud and some don't even cause a blip

This one made me work to install it

Geez John , you make it sound like winter is a bad thing.
Here are some pics from the lake last weekend.
the close up is of Hoar Frost, the long shot is 'the baseballs' on the lake...

Yeah the cold is not the real problem it's the storms and wind and residing on the water verses shore. Then after the storms it can be days and weeks of Tule fog that never lifts. Use to brave all that stuff now I am a bit smarter.

Love the pictures. Thanks
John

With IE v11 it's  the Smart Screen Filter that sets it off. If you turn it off it will still tell you not to run it but if you had told the download loader to Save As it will download and save the file. Happens with any downloads that the file is new and the publisher is unknown.

If you see a security warning that tells you The publisher of this program couldn't be verified, then Internet Explorer doesn't recognize the site or organization asking you to download the file. Make sure you recognize and trust the publisher before you save or open the download. Learn more about how SmartScreen helps protect you and Certificate errors that might cause you to see download warnings.

Was there a reason for this register address change?

I "THINK" that is a register for a math equation, boB was comparing a 32bit to a 16bit so we moved some of the math to a place where it could be 32bit to make sure nothing was over flowing. I am sure nothing usefull moved. (Or I am pretty sure)

Windows 10 is close. I am testing a beta version now, it does not have error detection so if it fails it doesn't tell you but it is rock solid. I will release it here tomorrow as beta and the next rev will have error detection. I can say it is MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to use, no com ports, no drivers just plug it in and click update (well ok there are 5 steps in the instructions )

Ryan

Any Idea when we can get our hands on this for Windows 10 users everywhere, i'm dying to update my classic

I tried to download new firmware this morning and my antivirus (avast) said something like there was a virus? So I decided to download it later and closed the browser , a couple of hours later I tried again to download the file and my computer said it couldn't find the page , I'm running Windows 7   ,I'm not sure if other people are having the same issue, or is the update was removed?

I won't be able to load up 2079 until next week - but I have had 2074 lock up on both mymidnite and local app - this is the third time. So hoping 2079 will cure it. Seems to happen after running fine for about a week . This time I only know so far that it quit talking to mymidnite ver3 ( now 2) .

If you want USB to serial that works get the FTDI chipset ones. Prolific are very troublesome. FTDI works.

well I looked at mymidnite this morning  and it is reporting and everything is filled in after the time I saw it stop yesterday. No gaps in info. Not sure why  I couldn't see the stuff yesterday. Maybe it was a server glitch or just something on my viewing end . So all is well with mymidnite .

Sometimes the no data errors are due to the server databases. There are a couple that don't always sync properly. I've given them a kick so there shouldn't be a problem now. Let em know if there's still missing data.

Thanks,

Now that I look at today  I can see where there was gap from for about 1 1/2 hour -  look at power .   Anyway looks okay now. I suppose this one could be due to my internet connection - possible anyway.
