is the 150 lite the way to go?

sorry for the newbie questions, but trying to learn something here... here's the scoop...

Currently we have two arrays up and running:

1.  roof array (six - 80 watt sharps) run into a Midnite Classic 250.
2. front bank array (four - 240 watt sharps) run into a Apollo T80HV.

once the new project is finished we will have three arrays:

1. roof array
2. front bank array
3. patio cover array (six 250 watt Helios panels).

the plan is to mate:
the six 250 watt Helios with the Midnite Classic 250;
the four 240 watt sharps left with the Apollo T80HV;
and the roof array (six 80 watt sharp panels) will need a new controller.

would a midnite 150 lite be a good move for the roof array?  pros and cons?  also, is anyone thinking that the Apollo T80HV would be better suited to run the new patio project (six 250 watt Helios panels) and the Classic 250 to run the one series string of four Sharp 240's?  probably need to give you more info/specs but will start here for now.

thanks much.

something to think about is the master - slave relationship of a full classic to the Lite

long story  :o  but anyways....

I have a new Classic Lite 150 that will get hooked up shortly.  After thinking more about the controllers I have etc., I have decided to have the Classic Lite 150 run my new array.  Since it will not be a slave afterall, I have ordered a MNGP (the graphics panel) and the voila the Classic 150 Lite will become a Classic 150.

My question is: when time comes to attach the display to the Lite, do the internal dip switches need to be set to anything specific or does the graphics display bypass the dip switches, etc.?

thanks...

I would just leave the MNLP (the dip switch version) off if you can.  If you have it connected, it will
write to the Classic at power up and so may over-ride some of the MNGP
settings.   You can minimize that by setting the dip-switches to CUSTOM though.

Got my mngp installed on my 150 Lite.  Basically when you take the Midnite Lite panel off (the front panel and 4 screws) it takes all the dipswitches with it, so no need to even worry about the dipswitch settings.  You bolt the mngp on and it's basically a Midnite Classic 150.  Just an FYI.   :D

Hi,
Are you interested in selling the LITE dip switch/led panel?  I want to play with my MNGP connected to a RaspPi.
