My MidNite ver3

Well some 'Wiresharking' by a total newbee to it, came up with a potential answer to what is / is not going on...  and it is very strange!

I don't know what you did Andrew but please fix it asap!

here is what |I got  with a 'Sharking' of the lan set up into the hub...

What is your interpretation of that Westbranch ?  What needs to be fixed ?

this is what I see:

Line 1 CL calls mmv3 with a TEST request for HTTP 1.0  or ?
Line 2 MM v3 calls back with an OK for HTTP 1.1 (200 OK)
line 3 CL sends another request for HTTP / 1.0
Line 4 MM V3 says get lost  ( 401 Unauthorized)

then it repeats

So that might mean that  something is messed up with your registration on the MM3 site ? Have they or you ever just deleted your account there and re-registered it ?

I just got this email from Midnite. I noticed that I had to change to the url below to log in - the old ip address didn't work. But once logged in all my info was in there and works fine.
So I guess none of this is Beta any longer.
I have in firmware 2074  and the email below says there is now 2079 - guess I missed hearing about that one but will give it a go next time I am out at the solar site. 
Has there been any progress on the Windows 10 updater ?

The web based My MidNite is being updated to a newer version. The older version will continue to work until 2/29/16 Customers will need to update the firmware in the Classic to use the new version of My MidNite

The IP numerical address does not work any longer, but the mymidite2.com does to the same page from what I can tell.

I think it worked like this
Original Mymidnite
then mymidnite alpha ( ver2)
Then this one mymidnite (ver3) beta which has become the official mymidnite2.com for everyone  who wasn't playing around with the alpha and beta's like we were. So for them there was just mymidnite original and now mymidnite2.

Think I got that right !

Yeah we're all talking a cross purposes here (or porpoises?). MMv1 was the original. MMv2 was a stopgap ALPHA test site which we used to add a bunch of new test features but never released to the General Public. MMv3 is the final release server which y'all have been kindly testing for us but only we few call it MMv3. It's release name for all the rest of our customers is

since most of them will never have heard of MMv2 or MMv3 and will be confused if we suddenly launched mymidnite3. Unless they are Star Wars fans.

mymidnite2.com is simply a DNS entry for 159.203.65.201. Just as mymidnite.com is a DNS entry for 98.129.247.45. You can use them interchangably although you have to be careful about https and http and www. since they don't all play nicely yet.

Hi John, the new board arrived 2 days before we were headed out for our annual 2 week family tour.
We arrived home 2 days ago with the '100 day cough + sinus ache' that is floating around up here, so  just waiting to get some energy back before getting the snow machine fired up and head west. 
Still snowing here every other day, at about 3 - 10 inches per, so its good for the well! 
How is California doing water wise?

Temps hovering just above zero *F, but overcast a lot.
I am hoping for a visit west next week , health permitting... Will post from the lake when I have installed new board, etc. etc..

Currently wet.  This AM's forecast said 15" rain in the next 16 days....  Day 10 it's going to get "interesting"

Sierra snow pack is at 120% of "normal", but not enough to erase 6 deficit years. 

Just got my backup genset #2 going, and both are functional and on standby now.
